What is the latest processor and its features?
Before getting into the details of the latest processor, it is important to understand the role processors play in a smartphone and how does a processor plays a part in the performance, whether good or bad of a smartphone. A processor is the core of the phone. It controls the mechanisms of the phone and allow its functions to perform effortlessly. A processor is a chipset that is meant to focus on the performance of the phone. A processor is kind of a CPU that carries the ability to run phone’s OS, its applications, memory management, graphical unit, and many more.
MediaTek’s latest (by latest I mean the fastest and the best) chipset would be the MediaTek Helio G90T. This was launched along with its Helio G90. The chipsets MediaTek Helio G90 and Helio G90T include an octa-core CPU clocking at up to 2.05GHz. The chips use the ARM Cortex-A76 and A55 cores and are further integrated Mali G76 GPU with a speed of up to 800MHz and LPDDR4x and LPDDR4x RAM with support up to 10GB of RAM.
The G90 and G90T are the first SoC’s of MediaTek that are game-centric. The main focus of the Helio G90 series is its HyperEngine technology, which consists of features that are specially designed to boost the performance of smartphone games and to offer a smooth, lag-free gaming experience to the ardent gamers.
One of the other features also includes the Rapid Response Engine the makes the touchscreen controls feel more responsive. These come with dual Wi-Fi support meaning smartphones that are powered by Helio G90 can connect two Wi-Fi simultaneously.
With such features and technology, any smartphone powered by these will work in a flash speed, flawlessly and much more efficiently.
